EARLY Hand Painted Stencil BEECH-NUT Peppermint and Spearmint GUM Store DISPLAY 2-sided art work nearly the same with the exception of the type of gum. Peppermint on one side and Spearmint on the other. The paint feels raised on the brown heavy cardboad it was painted on. The lettering and design on the gum wrapped is not stenciled but hand painted ~ decorated . Even the item number at the bottom used to identify the advertising piece is hand painted. Not sure if this was a FIRST DRAFT of a print ad or done specially for a store with the name The Canteen . VERY GOOD+++ Conditon. No rips, tears, or stains. Minimal paint wear for it's age which believe is circa 1910 Measures 10 1/2" X 3" RARE EARLY STORE DISPLAY ITEM LOW FIRST CLASS MAIL SHIPPING!
