Up for auction is a big 635 gram etched slab of the Muonionalusta meteorite. This piece is polished and etched on 1 side. Etched pieces of this meteorite typically sell for between 75 cents and $1 per gram. This is due to the fact that Muonionalusta is extremely difficult and time consuming to cut and prepare. This piece measures aprox. 4.5 x 3.25 inches. This is a very nice IVA Octahedrite that was found in Sweden back in 1906. I personally cut, polish and etch EVERY meteorite that i sell.
