Double your traffic. This auction is for a brass padlock with key from the late 1800's or early 1900's. This lock is very heavy, measures 2 1/4" x 2 1/2". This style lock is often called a "Pancake Lock". It is a push key style lock, which means you put the key into the lock and push and the lock will open, you do not turn the key in the lock. It is a 6 lever lock, which designates that there are 3 individual mechanism levers which move inside the lock to open the lock. Stamped into the shackle is "AB3". The key is metal and stamped: THE E.T. FRAIM LOCK CO LANCASTER PA U.S.A. The lock does not always open the first try, but it does work and opens and locks fine, sometimes it takes a little more pressure when the key is inside the lock to move the levers. Remember this is a lock that is possibly over 100 years old. It is very solid, no nicks or damage in any way, looks and works fine. These locks were made in U.S.A. by the Fraim Lock Co. They also made the Harvard 6 lever locks, which are twins to these Big Bill locks. I did not attempt to oil or grease or clean this lock, I will let the new owner decide how to do that.
