THIS IS GREAT RADIO! The one and only Dan Ingram celebrates 40 years in New York radio on WCBS-FM, New York on July 07, 2001. Baseball's All-Star Game is a few days away, so WCBS-FM celebrates with an "All-Stars of Rock and Roll, Double-Play Weekend". During this three hour show, many of New York's great disc jockeys heap their praises on Big Dan: HERB OSCAR ANDERSON RON LUNDY DAN DANIEL ED BAER DON K. REED COUSIN BRUCIE MORROW Plus... Bill Brown, Chuck Leonard, Bob Shannon, Harry Harrison and many more... You'll hear old airchecks from Dan's days at WABC and from his arrival at WCBS-FM in 1991. After 40 years... Dan's still got IT! The 3 audio CD's presented feature the aircheck of Dan's 40th Anniversary show largely - UNSCOPED. The CD's contain the songs, jingles, promos, old airchecks and warm wishes from Ingram's. THe only elements that have been removed are the commercials. This is a great piece of New York radio history! The audio quality is very good, however, it should be remembered that the recordings were made straight off the air.
