***Star Quartz*** ((( Black Star Hollandite ))) ~~ Quartz Crystal Lightbrary Cluster ~~ ((( With Approximately 50 Hollandite Star Crystals ))) Itremo Massif - Mania Region " Madagascar " 2-1/4" inches tall x 4-1/2" x 3-1/2" wide 576 Grams A lightbrary is a crystal that has smaller companion crystals attached to the exterior prismatic faces. A complete lightbrary has smaller crystals in an unbroken circle all the way around on all the exterior faces. The term lightbrary is an analogy of a library of light or a place of higher learning and enlightenment. The primary larger crystal is recognized as the enlightened teacher whom the smaller companion crystals gather around like attentive students. There are several lightbrary's and partial lightbrary's in the group and most all of them have black hollandite stars. The stars are difficult to accurately count but there's around 50 crystals and some crystals have several dozen or more. The cluster is in great condition and most of the crystals are completely intact and practically perfect, a few have minor chipping but star quartz just doesn't get much better than this. Star hollandite crystals come from the Mania Region in the central highlands of the Itremo Massif roughly 50-80 kilometers from Antsirabe Madagascar, the only place where they have ever been found.
