Really handsome old silverplate statue of a musk ox from a very luxe Dallas, Texas estate. Appears to be silver over copper; it is very heavy for its size and it magent tests as not iron and t is some copper/verdigris color showing through the silver in various places, as shown. SIGNATURES OR MARKINGS: Appears unsigned on my honest inspection, but almost certainly Continental European for the American market. AGE DISCUSSION: An old estate piece and obviously old as shown. Possibly older, but I will be conservative and date it to ca. the 1950s/1960s (vintage, not antique). CONDITON REPORT: Only issue with this piece is that t is some verdigris color showing through the silver in various places, as shown. Otherwise, no problems on my careful and honest inspection. No pings, dings, dents, repairs, or disfiguring scratches. Overall, the pics are very honest and show the condition well and you won't be disappointed in the condition of ths piece in real life versus what is shown in the pics. SIZE: Just under 9" tall and about 13" long [measurements approximate]. It weighs close to 10 lbs and it would be considered a very large and impressive piece.
