Handmade glass by Bill Grout Borosilicate Vortex Style, Pastel Red Pebble Marble Description The marble is 41 mm or 1 5/8" diameter. Created using Glass Alchemy and Northstar color, with Simax clear borosilicate glass. All of my work is properly annealed using a digital ramping controller. This marble is a vortex style showing pastel salmon red cobblestone on the inside. The back is a raked pattern of lines in several colors. In this one the very back flame struck to a deeper color range. I hope the photo sequence of the marble rotating gives you a good overall visual. It is signed on the edge "WCG 10". About the artist Bill Grout is a self represented artist who has been making glass beads and other torch work full time since 1993. My home and glass working studio is located in the beautiful Bitterroot Valley of Western Montana, where I work with my talented wife Rae, who also makes wonderful lampwork beads.
