This is a rare 1948 B&G Christmas plate, in the series that began in 1895. It is called "Watchman: Sculpture of Town Hall of Copenhagen" and was designed by Margarethe Hyldahl. This plate depicts one of a row of figures along the roof of thetown hall, representing the ancient watchmen of the city. The watchman holds a long handled mace and is blowing a lur. This vintage plate is in excellent condition, with no chips or scratches. The light spots are from my camera flash. I am listing several plates and can combine shipping costs.
