Item for auction is a hand-painted, artist-initialed Bing and Grondahl ( B & G / Bing & Grondahl ) fine porcelain figurine. It is part of the limited edition Children's Day 1986 small batch production titled "A Joyful Flight" and features a little boy, perhaps a brother, lovingly pushing a girl, possibly a sister, on a swing. Beautifully detailed pleats and flowers on the girl's jumper, as well as subtle detail of pockets and a collar on the young boy's attire. Initialed by artist MA. This is number 759 in a special U.S. Limited Edition of 2500.Have not tried to alter or clean. Appears to be completely glazed, excluding the bottom rim. Marked in gold with 3 solid towers B&G encircled with "Copenhagen Porcelain Bing & Grondahl" and Crown mark with "Purveyor to Her Royal Majesty The Queen of Denmark". Embossed / imprinted / blind stamped with a 10 on unglazed rim and above Children's Day 1986. Measures about 7" tall and 3.5" at widest part of base.Manufactured in Denmark. Copenhagen, Denmark porcelain. Royal Copenhagen eventually merged with or possibly purchased B&G / Bing & Grondahl in 1987.
