Antique Wood Side Bead Plane Birch / Kentish Town / London Weight: 15 oz Length: 9-1/2". Blade width: 3/8" . Wood type: Beech Double boxed Toe is stamped "BIRCH / 77 WEEDINGTON RD / KENTISH TOWN". Heel is marked "3". Iron is unmarked. Side/sole has repair with 4 slotted screws.Maker Info: This maker can be found on page 179 of British Planemakers from 1700 (WL Goodman / Jane & Mark Rees, 3rd Edition). Either Edward James Birch (1875-1905) or Henry Birch (1906-1922), both listed at 77 Weedington Rd address. Henry is listed as a tool dealer.
