This book is the fruit of years of minute and affecionate study of birds, Particulaly of the English Lake district The scene of the book is set among fells and lakes of Patterdale, and in the text and the many woodcuts which adorn it, the spirit of the valley, in winter and summer, is finely recreated. Clean cloth boards, The dust wrapper is whole but has a 2" & 3" tear on the top front & a small amount of edge damage. 170 pages.
