Alfred Birdsey was a watercolor painter in Bermuda known for his landscapes of Hamilton, St. Georges and the surrounding sailboats, homes and bays of Bermuda. He also did mural work in Boston and New York. The paintings of Alfred Birdsey played an important part in changing the way Bermuda was seen abroad and became regular addtions to many collections around the world. This is an older painting showing a woman overlooking the harbor with sailboats; signed in the lower right. It is unframed and measures 20" X 14" The painting is on paper glued to cardboard. Needs to be matted and framed; priced accordingly. $40 for a Birdsey watercolor!!.
