Offered for your collecting and bidding consideration is a Set of Two F&F Mold & Die Works (Fiedler & Fiedler) Rare 5" Plastic Aunt Jemima & Uncle Mose Salt & Pepper Shakers, Circa 1940's. The F&F Mold & Die Works of Dayton, Ohio was founded right after the war in 1945 and continued until 1987. They made plastic premiums that were give aways in Quaker Oats products such as cereal boxes, etc. Most common are the 3" to 3&1/2" size but it is hard to find these in the 5" size which are more sought after by collectors. The set offered here each measure 5" Tall x 2&1/4" Wide x 1&3/4" Thick on Uncle Mose and 2&1/2" Thick on Aunt Jemima. They are made of molded plastic and each have holes in the top for salt (Aunt Jemima) and pepper (Uncle Mose). They also have their original stoppers in the base. They are hand painted and most of the paint is still intact. Actually by missing some of the paint it makes them even more charming and authentic. They are each marked on the base: F&F Mold & Die Works, Dayton, Ohio. Each one is also marked on their backs: AUNT JEMIMA AND UNCLE MOSE. These are worth a lot more than our starting price so we can make them affordable to everyone. Other than some minor paint loss, there is no damage to the molding, etc. If you collect salt & pepper shakers or Black Americana items and don't have anything like this read more
