GenuineVintage Black Double Breasted Wool Waistcoat Offered for auction and with no reserve is a striking vintage hand tailored collared wool waistcoat with “butcher’s stripe” lining. In amazing condition for its age the waistcoat features a hidden button to ensure a snug fit to the body. In fact it is so wearable that I originally purchased this for period film work but alas it was a tad too large for me. It would be still ideal for period re-enactment, film, theatre or indeed as a museum / collectors piece. The back of the waistcoat is black satin type fabric and features an adjustable buckle. Unfortunately I do not have any form of provenance/history to accompany the piece but I would dearly love to learn more if anyone out there could offer more information. Approximate dimensions are: Top of collar to bottom extremity at front = 20” Armpit to armpit = 20” I would be of course happy to send more photos if required.
