Black Lion Audio Digidesign 002 Modded Rack SERIAL # : UA4679000G History of the unit : I picked this up through a friend who went to recording school here in Cleveland, Ohio. His old teacher was selling off his studio equipment and he purchased this Black Lion modded Digi002 Rack off of him. I contacted Black Lion directly to see exactly what had been done to this unit, they replied with: "This modified unit you have purchased has the "basic mod" that we originally offered. It has some analog stage upgrades and converter decoupling upgrades." He also gave me a brief history of what Black Lion has released because I was curious as to why it didn't have the Black Lion decals on it that you see on other units here on e-bay, he replied: "After the "basic mod" we released the "HD mod" (no longer available), then "Tweak Head" and now the "Signature Mod". The Signature is the only mod that gets the decal on the lid because it directly refers to the model clock that we design and install as part of the mod." So this unit contains the original "mod" that Black Lion offered and it was before they put decals on their machines. I can forward the e-mail that I got to whoever buys this unit upon request.
