Zak en Reis-Atlas Fine antique engraved map printed in the mid-to-late 18th century in Holland. With original outline hand color.In Good+ to near VG condition, light minor age wear along fold-lines as typical, light minor dusting or spotting as seen in the scan, light dampstaining in blank margins, ac ouple small neat lines of old hand-written place names (partially erasd) seen off the coast of "Krim", but overall remaining clean and attractive.A pleasing example of this scarce antique Dutch produced map.Sheet measures c. 8 1/4" H x 12 1/4" WEngraved area measures c. 6 7/8" H x 11 1/4" W.Original fold-lines as issued.Tooleys Dictionary of Mapmakers , vol. 2, p. 205Koeman, Atlantes Neerlandici , II, Gra 2- noting that the maps were based on those of Baalde & de Leth. Indeed, the imprint indicates a Deventer imprint of Jan de Lat with cartography by J. Keizer.[14817][ note : All old sheets of printed paper possibly have short edge splits. Each sheet has existed for a very long time and has probably been handled repeatedly in the course of it's existence. It has a history unique to it as an object.
