BLACKBIRD CHICK IN PIE OR EGG - PIE BIRD - CERAMIC This PIE BIRD is from my mother's estate. She collected Pie Birds for display and it was never used. i The PIE VENT is about 3 inches tall and 1 1/2 inches wide. It is hollow through the middle so that steam can escape from the bottom of the pie through the bird's beak and that leaves the pie crust nice and crispy. The PIE VENT features a little BLACKBIRD CHICK with his YELLOW BEAK wide open as he emerges from A PIE or out of his EGG. I think he is based on the song about 'blackbirds baked in a pie', but some think he is emerging from an egg. CONDITION: This BLACKBIRD VENT is in VERY GOOD SHAPE. The COLORS ARE CLEAR AND VIVID There are NO CRACKS, CHIPS, BREAKS or REPAIRS Shipping cost increased recently. We will do our best to choose a safe and efficient shipping method.
