This auction is for promotional items once distributed from Arizona company Blakely Oil and Gas . All the plates, cups and bowls match to make this set of FIVE pieces of the "PRICKLY PEAR " pattern dinnerware, From Blakely Oil and Gas Company's promotional cactus plates from the late 1950's. Each place setting includes a cup and saucer, a 5.5" bowl, two 5.25" dessert plates, and a 10" dinner plate, all in really great condition. The colors are vivid. Free of any chips on the edge of one of the small dessert plates. THE LOGO PRINTED ON THE BACK OF THESE PLATES READS: "Blakely Oil and Gas " -- "ARIZONA CACTUS" -- "PRICKLY PEAR" pattern. IN THE LATE 1950's AND INTO THE EARLY 1960's, THEBLAKELY OIL COMPANY GAVE THESE PLATES AND OTHER DINNERWARE ITEMS AWAY AS PROMOTIONAL ITEMS.
