The oozing figure was sculpted by renowned artist Chet Zar during his stint at Tony Gardner's Alterian Studios, Inc., the company behind the stunning make-up FX effects for RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD, ARMY OF DARKNESS, THE ADDAMS FAMILY, HOCUS POCUS, TV's SWAMP THING and dozens more. This solid resin treasure measures roughly 6" tall and weighs in at one pound. It was released in the early 1990s when Alterian branched out with a brief stint in merchandising, creating a deluxe line of masks and a handful of garage kits themed around their own projects, including THE BLOB, DARKMAN, MOM AND DAD SAVE THE WORLD and RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD. The company called itself the Alterian Ghost Factory, which employed many of its own staff of professional artists to brand its line. This one-piece half-body comes meticulously hand-painted by renowned kitbuilder and former Alterian artist Mark William Robinson, and is guaranteed to be an original casting, NOT a recast.
