Blue & White Transfer Robert Burns Commemorative Plate, Sampson Hancock 1904A Sampson Hancock & Sons Blue & White Portrait Wall Plate or Charger in 'Burns' pattern with registered design date of 1904A fantastic plate with convex or recursive rim printed in a rich dark cobalt blue and on the back a pierced foot rim. Surrounding a central portrait of Robert Burns are six small cartouches or vignettes featuring Burns' Monument Alloway, Interior of Burns Cottage, The Cotter's Saturday Night, The Brigs of Ayr, Tam o'Shanter and Birthplace of Robert Burns. Backstamp: "Burns Opaque China S.H.&S England Rd.
