The model is in the original box. We see Knuckle Couplers installed on this unit. Indeed, the model is custom painted by the previous owner - this paint looks to be very well executed. This model is not DCC Ready. Indeed, the unit was imported by Atlas, and was crafted by Kato Japan. General Motors Electro-Motive Division produced over 1300 of the EMD GP35 is a 4-axle diesel locomotive from July 1963 until January 1966. The diesels electric housed a EMD 567D3A 16-cylinder prime mover that generated 2500 horsepower (1.9 MW). Our research indicates that 1250 examples of this locomotive model were built for US railroads, with an additional 26 were delivered to Canadian railroads and another 57 built for Mexican railroads.
