An Original Boer War Period Slade & Wallace Buff Leather FRog for the 188 Lee Metford Bayonet. The frog has eight rivets , it is made of buff leather and has a cross over strap and brass buckle on the front to secure the bayonet. The frogs stitching is all in tact and secure. The frog is in good undamaged condition as can be seen from the photographs. It measures 10" x 3 1/2" It has a War Department 'crows foot black ink stamp on the rear as can be seen in the photographs.
