Bold Porcelain Atomic KPM Bavaria Vase - 1960/70s Up for auction is a bold German porcelain relief vase with an exceptional atomic/space age design in white, red and black reminiscent of the rings of Saturn. The vase is 11 1⁄4âe by 4âe and in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs and only minimal signs of wear on the base from being displayed. It is marked on the base: Royal Porzellan KPM Bavaria Germany Handarbeit + 697/4. German porcelains have been at the forefront of modern vase design since the 60's and 70's. Whether it be a Fuchs, Scheibel, Feyl, Frey or Wirkkala, whether it's a Kaiser, Rosenthal, Thomas, KPM, Schumann or Hutschenreuther the white vase is the quintessential element of modern design.
