This is a high quality, lightly used, carbon steel machete that was made in Japan. The blade is full tang and is 14 1/2 inches long and 1/8 inches thick. The blade has the words "HAND BOLO FORGED" stamped on it and "MADE IN JAPAN" stamped on base of handle material. The overall length is 19 1/2 inches. This is a heavy machete and is made of thick carbon steel. In very good condition with signs of very light use. No cracks in handle. I have no idea of age but I have never seen a machete like it. I bought it used and I have owned it for close to 20 years.
