Made by Bankers Utilities Co,., San Francisco. Price reduced from two weeks ago. Truly a nice find. This 3.5x5-inch bank is brass, leather covered withembossed bank information, and a key. The key works, the bank opens;t's even a mechanism in the coin slot so you can't shake coins back out. For use by customers of Commercial Trust & Savings Bank, Oakland Calif. Lovely early way to save in this brass "bank book." I've seen similar ones on eBay patented in 1923, but never this bank... This is Pat.Pending , not yet issued, so unable to date from that. Opens with key (just one) but a little hard to turn key; I chose not to oil the mechanism. Lovely collectible item in California bank history. Please add insurance, minimum $1.30, for postal shipment. Thanks for looking. Bruce.
