Book Set--German Luftwaffe Uniforms & Insignia 1933-45 Brian Davis' two-volume book set "Uniforms and Insignia of the Luftwaffe 1933-1945" is a most valuable reference work on the German Air Force under the Nazis, covering a wide range of information from the late Reichswehr period through to the very end of the war. Volume I covers the period 1933-1940, and necessarily deals heavily with parade uniforms and the accoutrements of the various German air organizations, such as the Luftwaffe Fire-Fighting Services, the Condor Legion, Air Ministry Officials, and the like. It contains 256 pages, thoroughly illustrated with fine line drawings and a wealth of contemporary photos. Volume II (see picture below) is devoted to the years 1940-1945, and its 320 pages focus mainly on the combat formations, uniforms and equipment used by Luftewaffe troops on all fronts...illustrated as Volume I with myriad carefully-selected photos and drawings. Both volumes measure 7-3/4"x10", and are hardbound with their dust jackets. Published in 1995 by Arms and Armour Press, London, UK, in 1971, ISBN numbers 1-85409-106-9 (Volume I) and 1-85409-107-7 (Volume II). Both volumes are in excellent used condition...and, no, they are available ONLY as a set; we will not separate them for sale.
