ANOTHER BOOK of VERSES for CHILDREN, Edited by E. V. LUCAS. The book has a beautiful colour plate frontis and colour illustrated title page and black & white illustrations throughout drawn by F.D. BEDFORD. 431 pages plus 24 pages of publishers ads at the rear. A lovely collection of classic poetry for children written by some of the late great poets and authors including R.L. STEVENSON, JOHN FLETCHER, WILLIAM BLAKE, WILLIAM WORDSWORTH, Mrs SEWELL, SHAKESPEARE, SIR WALTER SCOTT, and many more. Bound in ornate decorated cloth binding, two tone illustrated end papers. Condition : The spine and boards are age darkened and soiled, the spine ends and board corners rubbed, page edges dusty, the inner hinges are split making the binding slack, the pages are age yellowed with the odd scattered brown spot and very small tears at the foredges to a couple of pages, all the pages are present.
