** T are 10 large photos below so this page may take a few moments to load fully ** This is an animated figure of Elsie, the Borden's Dairy advertising character. Elsie's head is a hollow rubber type material, similar to a high quality costume mask. She is mounted to a metal post that is anchored to a wooden base. When you plug it in her mouth moves open and closed continuously. As it opens and closes it also has a slight side-to-side movement so it is a very relistic movement typical of a cow chewing. If you look at the pictures, her mouth is open wider in some photos than in others. This must have been a store display but I don't have any idea of the year. I'm not an antique specialist so I don't like to offer suggestions as to the level of quality. I feel that it's better to take plenty of photos from all angles so the buyer can determine for himself the exact condition.
