Bosphorus 100% handmade Turkish Cymbal. Master Series 40cm/16inch Crash cymbal (without stand) This cymbal has been used in our music therapy room but has developed a 5cm long split about 14cm from the edge of the cymbal & 6cm from the central hole. The crack is shown in photos 2 & 5. As I'm not a musician I'm not sure if this has damaged the pitch of the cymbal but it certainly still makes a nice sound when hit. It would also make a nice decorative item for a musically themed room - complete with handy hole in the middle to attach it to a wall! We are selling the cymbal as we don't want to risk any children running their hands over the surface and snagging their fingers on the crack and cutting themselves, however we're sure adults just wishing to use a cymbal normally won't have this problem. A brand new cymbal of this type (without crack) retails at £120 plus VAT. All proceeds from the sale of this cymbal will help towards the cost of providing music therapy for a child or their parent affected by a bereavement or life threatening illness.
