Brand New Boss DS-1 Customised with Ultra & S.E.M. Mod! This is a Brand New BOSS DS-1 with ULTRA Mod. Modified to keeley spec as disclosed on the Internet. This is the same mod used by Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Mark Farner, Larry Saltzman. As the pictures show this pedal is brand new. It comes with Boss box, all the paperwork and works flawlessly. The modified DS-1ultra creates a huge wall of tone! It includes Hi-fi component upgrades using only the best quality Panasonic V series capacitors and components to increase maximum distortion, much lower noise and fuller, more powerful bass response allowing you to hear every note. A hand-wired toggle switch lets you select between the classic “Seeing Eye” sound and the “Ultra” setting which gives a fatter tone with slightly less distortion but more output. As one part of the changes, a red LED, actually part of the new distortion circuit, is added in the "O" of "TONE" - this lights up as it creates distortion! ( (see picture bottom right) The Ultra comes fitted with large 5mm cool bright blue LED . Condition Brand spanking NEW! Pedal bought specifically to perform the Mod. So what you're getting is the reliability of a Boss pedal with custom audiophile electronics. Here's what the Ultra DS-1 Features: * With a hand wired diode Toggle Switch you have the DS-ULTRA! Huge tube like tone, switch back and you have the classic Seeing Eye Mod (SEM) version of the pedal for high gain, tube like distortion! * Extra mods to increase the distortion range at maximum settings. * Mods to correct the bass response and give you a fuller, more powerful tone. Perfect for Strats now with this mod! * Larger Silver Mica Cap installed to further smooth the overall sound. * Toggle Switch Up - Standard Seeing Eye Mod. * Toggle Down - Adds another LED to the clipping circuit for a Large Fat Tone. The Extra LED increases the volume output of the pedal a bit, great for using the DS-1 as a pre-amp to drive your amp or to fine tune a low distortion sound on the unit. The way this mod is engineered it has increased 2nd order harmonics and tube-like qualities. Top quality components have been used thro out which include eight Panasonic V series Metal film capacitors & one Silver Mica, three Metal Film resistors, two LEDs, a hand wired toggle switch & a cool 5mm Super Bright Blue LED!
