This is the classic Boss DS-1 distortion pedal, with the Keeley SEM mod. The unit is in very good used condition and comes boxed with the original instructions and a Keeley sticker. There are one two very minor scuffs on the pedal, and it has pedal board velcro underneath, but it is otherwise excellent. The description below is from the Keeley website: This mod takes the stock unit and both increases the bass response and thegain range. In addition to that we give it a tube-like sound by using what was the small power LED for a clipping diode. This gives the pedal a rich sound, more like what you want a distortion box to sound like. A capacitor is added to the circuit so that some of the top end harshness the pedal usually has is now gone. We change all of the coupling caps to expensive Panasonic metal film varieties so that the sound is as transparent as possible, allowing all of your guitar through the pedal. Again, since the gain range has been expanded by our mods you can get both a cleaner and more distorted sound out of the pedal than in its stock configuration. Lastly, the pedal is quieter than a stock unit with our careful selection of parts. Grab a timeless classic with a powerful upgrade!
