Each puck originally distributed by Hockey Diversified for the 1972-74 NHL Goal Puck Program could be obtained by mail with the buyer's choice of team and possibly player. A label was affixed to each puck listing the scorer, team and date, along with a code that divulged which team-goal said puck accounted for. Totaling 3, these particular pucks were all used to score goals at home for the Boston Bruins during the 1972-73 and 1973-74 NHL seasons. We have the puck used to score the Bruins 134th goal of the 1972-73 season by Mike Walton on Dec 14th, the 75th goal of the 1973-74 season by Greg Sheppard on Nov 15th and the 116 goal of the 1972-73 season, scored by Don Marcotte on Dec 7th 1972, with this last goal assisted on by Bobby Orr! Regarding condition, the rubberized Bruins logo on the Marcotte puck has moderate toning, while the Goal Puck Program label is just slightly discoloured. The rubberized Bruins logo on the Walton puck exhibits toning along with fading, with the Goal Puck Program label toned with a few marks, with a few tiny slices and gouges along the side of the puck. Lastly, the rubberized Bruins logo on the Sheppard puck is heavily discoloured with a few stains, with the Goal Puck Program label exhibiting dark marks and some general toning.
