The Boston Herald Newspaper Sunday Supplement Paper Doll, 1896In the mid 1890s, The Boston Herald Newspaper put a paper doll supplement in the Sunday issue of a couple dolls and some of the most gorgeous gowns done in vivid artwork. There were gowns for sports, the opera, afternoon tea parties and many more occasions. These were lithographic prints and for that reason, the colors remain vivid to this day, 123 years later. This one is a Ladies Bathing Suit from 1895. No hat. It is in very good condition for its age.Winning bid pays 3.75 p/h. More outside the US.
