Fantastic chunk of fossil coral geode fragment from Georgia. Thick amber agate botryoidal formations covered in a layer of common opal will make an excellent display item. I sprayed the piece with a light coat of polyurethane to show off the shapes and natural hues. Outside shows the structure of the ancient coral. An excellent addition to a fossil, rock, or mineral collection or for jewelry applications. Photos taken dry. Approx measurements are 4.5" x 2.75" x 1.25".Georgia fossil coral is approx. 25-45 million years old, is around 7 on the Moh's scale, and is highly prized for jewelry and lapidary work.I'm out there collecting and cutting these great rocks myself and writing about it at zookeeperfossils on Blogger. eBay sales help support my rockhounding habit. My fossil jewelry is available at my Etsy shop, bined shipping is always available and I will refund excess postage through PayPal when needed.Thank you!Remember to contact your seller first if you have an issue.
