Louis and Andre Busannibi were French Basques who settled in New York and owned a large restaurant called "Café des Beaux Arts".This institution, founded in 1901, became famous in the history of bars in that it was the first to open a special bar for ladies. Perhaps you know that for a very long time the entrance to the bars was forbidden to the ladies, or at least to the ladies unaccompanied by the man.The brothers Bustanobi were real pioneers. Inside their restaurant, they opened the first ever "Ladies Bar". And if other ladies could visit the ladies only accompanied by men, men could come here only at the invitation of the lady. Something like March 8 all the year round!Like many of us, Louis Busanebi was interested in women.
