I briefly toyed with the idea of splitting these two boxed sets up and listing them separately but it felt almost criminal Obviously bought some time in the 1960s or 1970s, they are simply too splendid together to part By Hamish Robson Braemar Scotland, a craftsman cutler, these six steak knives and six steak forks are in immaculate condition There is some foxing in the base of the knife box but the stainless steel blades are without blemish, scratch or wear as are the forks Each piece is individually made, the unique stag antlers forming the tactile handles which are an elegant pleasure to hold I think if you look at image 1 you get a sense of how marvelous they look laid on the table Note the attractive crinkle at the top of each knife blade and the ridged simplicity of the forks Each tartan box carries the 'Product of Royal Dundee' gold embossed stag label and all the knives are marked with the makers name and picture of the noble beast as shown The serrated knives measure 9.5" long (24cm) The forks are smaller at 7.5" long (19cm) Both boxes are the same size I think the winning bidder will be delighted by these sets A perfect wedding or Christmas gift
