You are invited to bid on this lovely vintage battery operated cabin cruiser boat toy, made by Tri-ang in their Scalex Boats series in approximately the 1960s. This is the Derwent Cabin Cruiser (Electric) number 414S. The boat is made out of hard plastic. It has a white hull and rudder, with the name 'Derwent' transfered onto the front of the hull. The deck and cabin are brown with clear plastic windows. The white plastic top of the cabin lifts off to reveal the battery compartment. It has moulded seats and various chromed attachments. It comes in its original box which has images of a similar cabin cruiser on the sides. The boat measures 14" long. I am selling this boat as found. I do not have a battery for it so have no idea if it works or not. I think the flag from the back is missing, but there may be other bits missing - I have not seen a complete one so I just don't know.The battery compartment looks clean, but I have not tried a battery in it. The box measures measures almost 15" by 4.5", by 5". It is complete and in fair condition with some scuffing/soiling, a little creasing, a few small tears and some tape repairs. A lovely vintage toy, but sold as seen.
