This antique kerosene oil store lamp was manufactured in the late 1880s by Bradley & Hubbard, patented July 15, 1880, and March 27 & April 17, 1888, as "The B&H" No.89. The flame spreader also has a patent date of August 20 & October 15, 1889. The lamp is complete except for the wick, glass chimney, hanging harp and tin shade. These are all obtainable in reporodction form or on eBay if you are patient. The font is 9 ins at its widest point and will fit in an 8.5" diameter harp. It is 12 ins to the top of the flame spreader and has a 6 ins drip pan on the base. The lamp has no cracks but does have a couple of dents that can be fixed by someone who knows what they are doing and has the right tools. One dent is on the side next to the filler cap and the other is a dent in the top of the flame spreader. A great example of a fine old lamp with good patina. Offered without reserve.
