These UK Signature Edition books have never been published in the US. This is the First Edition of this new design which comes in the attractive case you see in the photos with a magnetically closing cover. The set is brand new and factory sealed! Now you can read these wonderful stories the way they were originally written without the editing of the US versions. All the standard UK spellings and colloquialisms are here keeping more of the original British flavour of the stories. This is the Signature Edition hardcover set with the Signature Edition dust jackets and bindings which come in the attractive slipcase as shown. This is a unique set with all new beautiful artwork on the dust jackets featuring the look of woodcuts. Each book has a different color binding matching the color on the spine of the dust jacket and each book also has a color matched ribbon marker. The spines are embossed in gold with the title, the Harry Potter "signature" and a symbol featured in the book and on the dust jacket artwork. I have taken a number of photos of the features of this set which will give you a better idea of how beautiful the set is. This question gets asked frequently so I want to make sure it is clear: the text in the Signature Edition, Children's and Adult version of the books is the same, only the covers, dust jackets and gift box differ. These are the actual UK printings published by Bloomsbury and are shipped to you directly from the UK. The photos you see are of my own set, the set you receive is brand new and sealed. Well, Bloomsbury has not given a reason for it but using a little deduction we can speculate on it. Unusually, the Signature Edition came out first in a Paperback version. When this came out the Children's Paperback version was discontinued. Will the same happen with the Hardcover Children's Edition? It hasn't yet but I wouldn't be surprised so if you really like the Children's Hardcover Edition you might want to pick one up soon from the listing I have for it. Long term I think it might be more involved than just this as there isn't that much sense in just replacing the Children's books with Signature Edition books. My theory is that as the Harry Potter book sales start to slow down (now that there are no new books coming out in the series and the films are all out) it will be hard to economically justify having both Adult and Children's versions of hardcover and paperback books.
