Up for auction is a vintage Chinese Brass KOI / CARP with a immortal Boy dancing on its Head. He has a Peonie Flower in hand as the fish is splashing out of the water. This set has 4 small koi fish that go with it and display as you wish around it. 3 are original and 1 as you can see has a more japanese type look, but it came with it to me and it will go with it. This item I was told means wealth and health to your household. the big koi measures 9 1/2" tall and the smaller ones measure from 2" tall to 2 1/2" etc. They all have a great patina, the smaller ones have some greenish oxidation on the bases. Its normal to vintage brass for this to happen. I did not want to clean or polish it because most collectors like it as is. the only problem this set has is the flower in the boys hand is missing a section of the stem that goes through his top hand and rests atop of the lower hand, you can easily cut a small piece of metal coat hanger and bend it to pop right in, and then touch it up with gold leaf. This set is a real looker as you can see and weighs in at over 5 pounds of solid brass. Please email with any questions, and thank you for looking.
