Nice Brass & Glass Hanging Oil Lamp / Lantern ~ Wedge Search Hi........This auction is for a nice old oil lantern, made of brass with four glass panels. The only markings of any sort that I can find on this lantern, is the word "WEDGE" on the burner. It may be hard to see in the pics, but t is a wick in it. I don't know if this is a ship's lantern or not, but the brass construction makes me lean that way.It's in excellent condition as you can see. It stands about 10 1/2 inches to the top of the handle. The body is about 5 inches square and has a hinged top with a thumb screw lock for access to the burner.It has a nice even patina to it.Just add some lamp oil, and let t be light!
