BRASS LEITZ WETZLAR MICROSCOPE w/ CASE DESCRIPTION PLEASE NOTE: WE DO NOT ACCEPT PAYPAL! This is a beautiful vintage Ernst Leitz Wetzlar microscope in brass and black enamel that dates to the late 1920's. The microscope is all original, comes complete with the original carrying case (stamped serial number on inside edge of the case matches serial number of microscope No. 291220), 3 Leitz objective lens of 100x, 45x, and 10x, 2 Leitz eyepieces of 6x and 10x, and a vial of oil. The stage has special knobs on the clips that control vertical as well as horizontal placement of slides in addition to the regular knobs that control the height and visual fine-tuning of the microscope. The mirror is intact as well as the additional attached filters. All the cases for storing the lenses are in the microscope case. The microscope is in excellent condition, the lenses clear. The microscope measures approximately 12" in height, from base to the edge of the eyepiece. The black leather carrying case shows very obvious wear and the handle is missing, replaced by a rope handle. This is a great collectible and functional piece of scientific instrument, so good luck bidding! Please ask all questions before placing a bid since sales are final.
