Bottom marked The Trenle Blake China Co. Ravenswood W. VA. Very similar in appearance to the china used at the Royal Diner. Green stripe or green line china has always been very popular at cafe, diners and coffee shops across the United States. Nearly every major restaurant china manufacturer has had a similar pattern to offer their commercial customers. Often times you'll come across a cup by Shenango matched with a Syracuse or some other saucer. Research indicates: The Trenle China Company began producing restaurant ware in 1917 in East Liverpool, Ohio and moved to Ravenswood, West Virginia in 1937. Welcome to the world of restaurant ware collecting. Most of this heavy duty china is quite serviceable, but just as much fun to have and display. Restaurant ware china was used on railroads and airlines, hotels, cafeterias, diners, and country clubs. If you haven't started your restaurant ware collection, now's as good a time as any.
