Up for auction today is a replica Brendan Shanahan Hartford Whalers jersey, made by CCM, size Large. This is the real deal. There are more knockoff Whalers items on eBay than any other team... This was bought WAY back in the day at the Hartford Civic Center. Note the official CCM neck tags and the sewn-on CCM and Whalers logo on the back. This isn't an Asian knockoff in any way. Feel free to compare this to any of the other Whalers jerseys on eBay right now and you can see the difference. Shanny's name, numbers, and captain's C are all stitched onto the jersey and not glued. Overall, I'd say the jersey is in an 9 out of 10 condition... There's some slight discoloration on the nameplate from having this cleaned (see the fourth photo), but that's it. There are no rips, tears, pulls, or anything like that anywhere on the jersey. Authentic vintage Whalers goods are getting harder and harder to find so this is a rare opportunity to grab a piece of NHL history...
