The Old Briar Special is one of a group of Algerian Briar bowls that was Sandblasted, Fitted with a 14K Gold Band and mounted with a Vulcanite Stem by David P. Ehrlich Co. Pipemaker (and my dad),George Bushee in the mid 1970’s.Each Ehrlich Old Briar Special sold at a price of $75.00.This is an unsmoked collectors item in excellent condition.George Bushee began as Pipe Repairman and apprentice Pipe Maker in the late 1940’s (post WWII), under his uncle Carl Horsman. George continued with Ehrlich’s as pipemaker until his retirement in 1986.Any questions are welcomed. Thank you for your interest.
