Being offered today is a splendid example of a hand painted Nippon Cracker jar, with lid in tact. Decorated in a very ornate pattern of gold swirls, this cracker jar boasts two great floral cameo-type decorations on the front and back and sits perched atop 3 golden feet. A very Victorian piece!Aside from the typical wear of some of the golden decoration, the only other flaw that I can see is that the âe~handleâe(tm) knob on the top of the lid appears to have been âe~repaintedâe(tm). I see no chips or cracks. From top to bottom, this jar measures 7 3⁄4âe and about 6 1⁄2âe at its widest.As will all my auctions, this vase is being offered with NO RESERVE. Additionally, this piece will be mailed out with delivery confirmation and insurance will be required, based on the final selling price of the item.E-mail with any questions prior to bidding.
