BRILLIANT TRACE ELLIOT SMX DUAL COMPRESSOR GUITAR PEDAL Widely regarded as one of the best compressor pedals around, this excellent pedal will smooth out the dynamics in your playing without anyone noticing it’s there - This thing really is as smooth as silk. There are only 5 dials to worry about; an input gain, an output level, a low compressor level and high , compressor level and an ‘EQ Balance’ (tone adjust). There are also two foot-switches for “Effect bypass” and “Hi Comp Bypass” although I’m not sure why these were included because once you’ve turned it on, you’re not going to want to play without it again! The pedal uses two 9v batteries or a rather specialised 18v power supply (neither included in this auction) but the battery life is so good you probably won’t need a power supply. There is a hand written serial number and some oxidation marks on the underside (along with a system diagram) but the top looks like new - it’s only been used (rarely) in my project studio for the last 15 years.
