TWO FRENCH NAVY MATELOTS MADE BY BRITAINS VERY OLD FIGURES FROM SET 143, WITH RED POMPOMS AND RED STRIPED SHIRTS. THEY HAVE ROUNDED BASES, CARRYING THEIR RIFLES AT THE TRAIL. THE BASE STAMP ON ONE FIGURE READS : "MADE IN ENGLAND ; COPYRIGHT ; BRITAINS ; PROPRIETORS" A previous owner has bent the left legs of both figures so that the right foot is touching the ground. This has resulted in fracture cracks on both left ankles and given the figure a leaning back appearance. Please examine the photographs carefully as they are priced to sell in this condition. I am happy to answer questions.
