An original 1st PATTERN DENISON Parachutist SMOCK fully labeled 1942. Constructed in heavy weight twill material with natural water soluble dyes applied in large brush strokes to blend in with the surroundings, this Denison has the original half zipper made by LIGHTNING (photo 5) and four external and two internal pockets - the former can be seen in photo 1 and the latter in photo 11 showing the Denison turned inside out. Shoulder straps in place with buttons. Correct wool lined collar (photo 8). Underarm vents (photo 10). Tapered sleeves with wool cuffs and waistband adjust. The underbody - between the legs - flap/tail is in place with front snap adjustment. Original label in place - photo 9. There appears to be no addition stencil stamp on the inside material.
