PLEASE NOTE: FOR BUYERS OUTSIDE THE UK - WE ONLY ACCEPT PAYMENT VIA PAYPAL, PAID IN STERLING GBP A rare, unissued, unblancoed pair of British Army soldier's 1941 DATED WEBBING CROSS STRAPS . These straps were designed for the 1937 pattern webbing, and attach from the buckles on the back of the belt, across the shoulders, to the front, where they would go through the buckles on the waistbelt pouches, or attach to the brace attachments (if the pouches weren't being carried). This pair were made by "M.E.Co 1941 /I/" and are stamped with their details. The straps are 46 inches (117cm) long, which is 'Normal' (ie-standard) length. One strap has a small loop added to it, which allows the other strap to pass through it, when worn against the back. Straps like these would have been worn by a range of forces, including - the Army, Airborne Forces, Parachute Regiment, Commandos, Special Air Service and others. Pairs of long cross straps are becoming difficult to find nowadays. Ideal for the collection or for 'Living History' purposes. Unissued, unblancoed. VGC for age .
